Jana Alagarajah
Technical Lead, Rwanda
Jana is a public health doctor with a passion for global health, human-centered design and the use of health tech-based solutions in low-resource settings. He has extensive experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of complex public health interventions specializing in sexual and mental health-based projects.
He brings deep technical skills to the team as a UK board certified doctor in public health. He has further developed his technical skills through academic experience holding both a Masters in Global Health and Development from University College London and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where he focused on the use of digital mental health technologies to improve outcomes for youth in low- and middle-income countries.
Jana is excited to be Technical Lead at YLabs in Rwanda, giving him the opportunity to step into a leadership role and support the organization to improve sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and economic employment opportunities for youth. He is also passionate about supporting the growth, development, and leadership of YLabs through providing technical leadership to internal initiatives and contributing to organizational learning and professional development.
